I emailed back and forth with Alan a few days ago, and he is interested in checking out my Python CMS script. So... hopefully we can work together, borrow from haikufeed, and add some nice features to my new CMS. And if all of that happens, I might be inspired to get this site fully functional again.

I was thinking that I'd have my site up and running again by this time, but, well... not so much. The new CMS I mentioned 2 months ago is actually a home grown Python script that can do enough to generate this simple site, but not much else. I have a big list of new feature ideas, but not much time or motivation to implement them. I guess my sabbatical will continue for a while longer.

I figure it's about time to write another post (however brief) in the hope that it will encourage me to finish bringing my site back online. Like I said last month, I'm making lots of changes behind the scenes. Now I have just about all the pieces ready to assemble, but I'm trying to smooth out the writing/posting workflow and minimize costs. (This site is fun for me, but I'm only willing to pay a very small amount to keep it going.) Maybe in another month I'll be back to full time updates.

This site is on a new host, uses a new CMS tool, and has a new design (meaning naked HTML right now). Let's see if I can get everything working and then migrate my old content. Slowly but surely.
